I’ve always liked words, the way some feel like silk, gliding off your tongue, and others like sandpaper, rough and gritty. Crafting with them has felt daunting, but I know in my bones I was made to write.
A spark of inspiration struck a few weeks ago, and as I typed, the story flowed through my fingertips. I am so excited to share a snippet of it with you today. I have only given the full transcript to a handful of trusted people, but one of the reviews said it reminded them of “Peter Rabbit, Winnie the Pooh, and The Phantom Tollbooth”, which is the highest compliment I can imagine, since those are my favorite stories.
I’m very fond of this little character, and can’t wait to illustrate her story. Once I begin the artwork, I’ll have sketches available as free downloads for all of my paid subscribers. Please consider subscribing to support my efforts in writing and the publication of this first story. I can’t thank you enough for your support!
